Houses

School Houses

To inspire a healthy sense of competition, students of Siva Shivaani high school have been allocated one of the four houses which symbolize the school’s values. Students develop a sense of belonging and a feeling of unity in being a part of a specific house.

The four houses are named RAMAN – Green House , KALAM – Red House , NEWTON – Yellow House and HAWKING – Blue House, after South Indian scientist who upheld values of courage, love, valour and intellect.

Each house is led by the House Captain and Vice-captain guide their teams on all fronts and play a vital role in leading their team to victory in all events. Participating in various inter-house competitions not only gives the students a chance to display their talent but also helps them learn valuable lessons on team work and selfless service. Be it a debate, quiz or sports event, students give their best to win laurels and house points. Participation in various activities brings the house honour and gives the students a sense of pride.

Hawking House

Hawking House, named after the theoretical physicist, cosmologist and author Stephen Hawking represents the school value of endeavour and the academic disciplines of science and sport. The Hawking House colour is Blue.

Raman House

Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman house, named after the Indian physicist whose ground breaking work in the field of light scattering earned him the 1930 Nobel Prize for Physics. In 1954, he was honoured with the highest civilian award in India, the Bharat Ratna. The Raman House colour is Green

Kalam House

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam house named, was an aerospace scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).The Kalam House color is RED

Newton House

Newton house named , after the great English mathematician, scientist, astronomer, theologian, and author (described in his own day as a "natural philosopher") who is widely recognised as one of the most influential scientists of all time and as a key figure in the scientific revolution. The Newton House color is Yellow
